At The Ruff Ruff Ranch, we prioritize the safety, care, and comfort of every dog in our facility. To ensure we can provide the best service for all our clients, we ask that you review and respect the following policies:

No-show Policy

  • Clients who do not show up for a scheduled daycare or boarding reservation without notice will be charged 100% of the scheduled service.

  • Repeated no-shows may require prepayment for future bookings or may result in limited booking privileges.

Cancellation Policy

  • We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for any daycare cancellation.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service.

  • Same-day cancellations may be charged 100% of the daycare fee.

Boarding Cancellation Policy

  • Boarding reservations require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellation.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled drop-off may result in a charge of one night’s stay.

Late Pick-Up Policy

Emergency Exceptions

We understand that emergencies happen. Fees may be waived at management’s discretion in cases of:

  • Medical emergencies

  • Severe weather events

  • Other unforeseen circumstances

Health, Illness, and Emergency Care

If your pet becomes sick, is injured, or requires urgent care during their stay, we will first attempt to contact you, followed by your emergency contact if needed.

If we are unable to reach you and care is necessary, we will use our discretion to contact our on-call veterinarian, Dr. Eberhart, to ensure your pet receives timely treatment. All veterinary care will be at the owner’s expense.

Severe Weather

Your pet’s safety is always a priority. Our facility is built to provide a secure environment during severe weather conditions.

  • Steel building rated for high wind conditions

  • Built to withstand winds up to 140 mph

  • Concrete kennel areas for added protection

We take precautions to ensure dogs remain safe, secure, and calm during severe weather events.

If you are concerned about weather, we ask that you pick up your pet prior to any warnings being issued. For the safety of our staff and the pets in our care, we do not allow rushed drop-offs or pick-ups during active weather warnings.

Our facility is designed to be a safe place during severe weather, and we believe it provides protection comparable to or better than most homes. Dogs will remain in their kennels during severe weather and will not be moved during events such as tornado warnings.

If you prefer to have your pet with you in a shelter, please plan to pick them up ahead of time.
